comment Need help downloading steam on ubuntu!
You mention that you're on a Google Chromebook. Just to be clear, ChromeOS and Ubuntu are not the same thing. I know that might be obvious to some, I just want to make sure that's not the root of your issue.

comment problem Kernel panic - not syncing: fatal exception in interrupt drm_kms_helper:
This seems like using an older kernel with a more modern KMS setting display driver. My suggestion would be to bring your kernel and driver closer together, such as installing a new kernel, using an older driver, or updating to a newer version of Ubuntu would will default to both.

According to that, you do have disk space. What makes you think you do not? Are you getting some kind of error or prompt?

comment How to completly remove and reinstall Ubuntu Software Center
I'm not 100% of the impact of not having it. I generally remove default packages that remove the metapackage, and my systems work fine. Upgrades have never been an issue for me. So I would generally say "No", but there might be a use case where it would matter. I've never hit one, but YMMV.

comment How to completly remove and reinstall Ubuntu Software Center
It will remove software-center and the ubuntu-desktop metapackage. The metapackage doesn't contain software itself. So technically it will remove more than just software-center, but it won't affect any of your installed software or any programs you use.
