comment How can I move all the window controls to the right (or left)?
Hardcoding these buttons on the left side is bad news for regular right handed user. I like Dash functionality, and won't go back because of these buttons, but it's just yet another stupid decision toward blindly copying OSX design - copycats.

There is no need for so much backslash escapes - just wrap the path in double quotes without any escaping

comment Converting DJVU to PDF
@Tim this is old post. (1) hocr can reference multiple pages, but is this implemented in pdfbeads, I don't know so you'll have to try and see. (2) Bookmarks will be lost sure. Possible solution: use bmcconverter to convert djvu bookmarks to pdftk bookmarks, then use this script to convert pdftk bookmarks to pdfmarks, and finally use Ghostscript to write bookmarks in pdfmarks to pdf file example.

comment How can I change power options to make my system “always on”?
"Brightness and Lock"? Who would thought to look there for power option. I probably didn't expected to see the word "lock" besides brightness. Not that I see any brightness setting in that dialog :D

comment Turn off spellcheck for cyrillic input in Empathy
In case you didn't know, you can select input language if you right click on inputbox and select from available languages (usually in sub-menu named Languages). So when you type in Serbian, right-click and select appropriate spell-checking language from context menu

comment How can I remove icons from menus of QT apps?
Related: askubuntu.com/questions/70153/… (also unanswered). From quick googling this might be some bug in Ubuntu, as according archlinux forum i.e., Qt applications obey settings from gconf

I don't know of such. You can also use your favorite text editor with some command line markup tool (i.e. python markdown) or have a look at this: Markdown for the Gedit

comment Tomboy failed to Sync: (500) INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
I have same issue, on both Ubuntu and Windows, and it has been asked here couple of times. Sometimes it syncs, sometimes it doesn't, and it seems like problem with ubuntuone servers, from debug messages here.

comment How to remove libthai-data?
It's not dependency, it's just suggestion/recommendation. I have still no idea why is this package installed, and why it removal wants to remove almost everything, like Unity, Compiz, etc. Will investigate later, and maybe rephrase question

comment Problem with input method
Thanks, that did the trick - I set input method to None then it (zenity dialog) crashed - segfaulted. I removed it, and also removed all input methods I saw available, and wonder why I had those thai input methods and some Chinese in Language settings, when I sure didn't select any other language then English. But not that much curious ;) Cheers

comment Indicators for Ubuntu 12.04
It's not a duplicate. It's about indicators that work in 12.04 and not some overall indicators. Question is precisely asked, and I don't need to read the FAQ to know that I'm wrong according you.

How to do that? Many of provided indicators doesn't work in 12.04. I think it's good idea to provide just 12.04 working indicators. It's just a question and anyone can join

comment How to include locally build Python package system-wide?
OK, thanks. Dummy package sounds great. Right now, I'm not interested in proper debs as that is too complicated to make for every package I install
