comment How do I allow /dev/net/Tun in a LXD managed LXC container?
Thanks. I created the node. I changed its owner:group to 100000:100000. But I still can't see it from within the container...

comment What is Network-manager trying to do with rdisc?
I have opened a bug report on ufw for this, and proposed a patch to allow router solicitation by default: bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ufw/+bug/1434525

comment Why does dnsmasq use /bin/dash?
This is possible, but I can't see why a C pragram would try to execute /bin/dash just to write in a file !? It could simply open the file and write into it, couldn't it ?

comment Is it normal that network-manager manages virbr0?
@DavidFoerster I asked the question on the NetworkManager list, and they mainly suggested to upgrade to NM 1.0 or later...

comment What is Network-manager trying to do with rdisc?
@Fabby I am indeed blocking most outgoing traffic, be it IPV4 or IPV6 and only open streams I know I need. I'm currently reading through this: ietf.org/rfc/rfc4890.txt I'll come back when done !

comment Is it normal that network-manager manages virbr0?
@Fabby in fact I did (bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1432599) but as I'm unsure if it's really a bug, I'm trying to sort it out to avoid bothering devs with a potentially false issue.

comment df is omitting some whole parts of my fs / disks. Is there something wrong?
@Fabby in fact I was lost as 'df -h' was giving me stange results (esp. a whole disk was missing). But it turned out that it was due to cross-compile kits using overlayfs / unionfs. Then I edited the question, and maybe it's unclear now :-)

comment df is omitting some whole parts of my fs / disks. Is there something wrong?
@Fabby no I don't really... in fact I have pure QML/js app, so I think it's pretty arch agnostic, but I indeed created those kits, trying to understand how the sdk was working...

comment df is omitting some whole parts of my fs / disks. Is there something wrong?
df -h -a gives me a huge output, where /home and /var appear, but with blank size / used / avail. columns... I'm under the impression that /home and /var mountpoints from the chroots somehow interfere with my real /home and /var...

comment df is omitting some whole parts of my fs / disks. Is there something wrong?
@j0h I will edit my question if it's not clear: the problem is that df is omitting some whole parts of my fs / disks. Especially, /home is mounted on /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-lv--home but is not listed in df output. Same goes for /var.

What version of Ubuntu did you install ? This seems like an old version, or a particuliar flavor (like xubuntu, lubuntu,...)

comment VPN client for Ubuntu 14.04
You should edit your question to be more specific. When/where did you use Kerio VPN Client and why don't you anymore? What do you mean by VPN certifications? You should probably have some sort of credentials (user/password, certificates, ...). What type of VPN server do you want to connect to?
