After boot, need to restart smbd to get printer sharing to work. Is it starting before cups? Thanks this helped. But the file is actually in /etc/init/*, and I added a wait for cups in the smbd.conf |

Why can't upstart start cups or mysql? Ok I found some more info: seems apparmor is having some problems. this is in boot.log AppArmor parser error for /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.cupsd in /etc/apparmor.d/tunables/global at line 17: Could not open 'tunables/proc' |
