comment Cycle through clients on both screens in awesomewm
marking seems to allow you to add a tag to marked clients all at once from what i can tell. it's not discussed much in the manpage, but it has one reference to "tag marked clients with tag". what i've picked up on though is you can probably use that "mark" functionality for anything that needs to be applied or processed on multiple clients. say for example you have 10 clients and you want title bars on 4, mark those 4 and then with some lua code you can have it add the titlebars on those you've marked.

this is a keybinding. he asked for "program/application". It gives him a good start on finding the answer he is seeking, but doesnt tell him where to look though (openbox configuration file).

I couldn't vote this down because my reputation is not sufficient, however this is not what the user is seeking. The first picture shows what the user is experiencing WITH that a check in Desktop > Desktop Preferences > Advanced > chekbox [Show menu...]

comment How to change desktop settings back after using gksudo nautilus?
this should be the proper solution. the "problem" is nautilus's default nature of displaying the launching user's desktop. disable it by using the --no-desktop parameter when you first use gksudo nautilus --no-desktop
