comment Why does CTRL not work in VirtualBox VMs?
Could it be a gnome thing?. Maybe the CTRL key is assigned by it to some function.

comment How can I use remmina to connect to a Windows Server?
Did you test it?. It used to be "DNS Domain", I had always assumed (likely incorrect) that it was not related to windows domains.

comment Windows Installation as Virtual Machine
VirtualBox 3D support is not good enough to play GTA5 on a Virtual Machine. As a general rule of thumb, unless you have a very specific setup (a dedicated pci shared video card) or you are playing old games, virtual machines are not a good solution for games.

comment Importing a Python module works from command line, but not from PyCharm
Both. You should only use Source Root if you are going to make changes to that modules (you don't need to add then to Source Root for completion, documentation or 'going to source' to work).

Check your own question. The part bellow 'I got a variety of unheard of errors (at least for me):'. About the other questions I'm sorry but I'm not going to waste my time trying to help people with your attitude.

Second, why are you using a shell script?. You should just probably use a correct shebang on the python script itself (es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shebang)
