Nope, take a look at this page, bottom right. It really says "Note: Your antivirus software must allow you to install software."

As you don't have no graphics card, you need to open a terminal window and post the output of lspci. Just add it the the question.

That device has been known to be a pita on linux - bug report. Somehow, the driver in the kernel just doesn't work, and can not be fixed, but this does work.

comment Resize my Home ext4 partition with unallocated space
I don't see any unallocated space next to sda9. The 11.72GB you've mentioned is way behind sda5, and can not be easily added to sda9.

comment How I should build the official Linux driver for Wireless PCI card D-Link DWA-525 v.A2 in Ubuntu 14.04?
Why? Do you know what's the difference between the "free" and the "official" drivers? What if I was to tell you they are the same?

comment What makes LiveCDs, LiveDVDs, and LiveUSBs slow?
Basically, the speed of rotation of optical media, which is between 200 and 500 RPM. That is a lot slower then HDDs that usually spin 5400, 7200, or 10000 RPM.

Does your Sandisk has your write protection? Looks like your sandisk does: "Write Protect is on", so try switching your protection off.

ntfs-3g is probably a wrong file system for a network share, try cifs instead.
