comment Red triangle with an exclamation mark Ubuntu 16.04
In the launcher bar on the left have you got the new 'Ubuntu Software' item ? (Not to be confused with old 'Ubuntu Software Centre', which if you upgraded to get 16.04, came from an older Ubuntu version and has the same design of icon) If you have the new 'Ubuntu Software', click it and select the 'Updates' tab, click it and see what's available.

comment Can't see Backup Settings (deja-dup) on System settings
In system settings, is ther not the icon of a safe labelled 'Backups'?. If there is, then that is the one for you to click in order to see Folders, location etc. Oh, I see from the posted image, that there isn't. Please ignore this comment.

comment Eclipse not working in 16.04
@Motte001 - thank for the information. I also see 60% CPU usage on start up, then it drops to about 10%. Maybe when they get round to fixing Ubuntu's GT3 module, it will drop the java usage.

comment Really slow boot on 16.04
If you look at your dmesg, you may well find an entry such as 'new mount options do not match the existing superblock'. If so Google for that string and it will lead you to a Linux bug which has never been fixed
