comment Music on all user accounts?
I would recommend using your Public-directory for that though. Or you could have a shared folder for all users, such as /home/shared.

So you mean every time you get a new connection established over an already existing ssh tunnel?

comment Copy Shortcut for Ubuntu Server 14.04 with Xfce to use with VirtualBox
You may wish to not use a desktop at all on your server, but rather connect to it from your desktop and use your desktops terminal.

comment Use terminal to run programs scripts a short way
@kouty: But as I said, you can just run it with python, like "python /home/yourname/script.py"

comment Use terminal to run programs scripts a short way
@kouty: You didn't have a space between the +x and the path. The +x means to make the file executable so that it is a program and not just a text file. So chmod +x /home/yourname/folder/mot_le_blabla.py

comment SSD, HDD And Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Yes, that's possible as Ossian Mapes describes in the answer below. You can also use the SSD as a cache for the harddisk so that everything's installed on the HDD, but fast because of the SSD. There are several solutions for that, such as bcache, which you can read about here, if you're interested: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bcache

Run the command with python, so "python /path/to/script.py". Or do chmod +x /path/to/script.py. In that case, you'll need to start the script file with #!/usr/bin/python or something like that.

comment The latest LUBUNTU image will not fit on a CD. What files can be deleted to make it fit?
It is reported as being 683MB. Did you use this link? (I'm on mobile connection, so I can't test). cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/releases/14.04/release/…

@IgorG.: Yes there is. This is AskUbuntu. If you don't know something, then you should ask rather than making false claims. Look in the Apps-lens and show Filters. You'll see all the categories there. You can't have custom submenus though, but that's hardly a requirement. If you do add a submenu and add items to it, then they'll appear in the outermost menu. So "Internet > My Bookmarks > AskUbuntu.com" would appear as "Internet > AskUbuntu.com" in the Apps-lens.

You've pretty much told us that you did something, and something happened. This question will be closed if you don't provide some details.

@IgorG.: I don't understand why you would say that when you haven't tried it and don't know what it is. Alacarte is a desktop-file editor. That means it's useful on all standards-based desktops, like Unity, Gnome Shell, Cinnamon, KDE, Xfce, LXDE, Pantheon (elementaryOS), Mate, Gnome Flashback... Pretty much any desktop you can find.

comment Read only mount from desktop
@DougCramer: You can use alt+ctrl+t to open a terminal in which you can enter commands. However, this is a filesystem command and those can be destructive, so you should read up before you use it. The link I gave you should provide details.

comment Unformat a drive?
"testdisk" is another program that's included in the testdisk package. You may wish to consult the manual or perhaps ask a new question about that specifically. I wouldn't be able to provide a good answer in a comment and it wouldn't be productive.

No, filenames and directories are stored in the filesystem. Testdisk is also able to recover the filesystem in many cases, so you could try that. You can also explore the filesystem without recovering it and save specific files or directories.
