Skype working fine here. Check out the audio settings, it's not a camera problem.

What's the package name for this application? I don't have it installed on Kubuntu.

comment How do I disable the “Nouveau Kernel Driver”?
To anyone reading this I would strongly suggest that you use X-SWAT PPA as that should work and the blacklist solution might or might not (it didn't in my case).

comment Samba and NFS conflicts?
It's not a production environment, it's my home server, but I hate messing up things that work fine.

Thanks. I'll accept/upvote the answer in next few days if I see that the problem is not reoccurring.

comment 12.04 BCM4312 and aireplay-ng/airodump-ng
If no one knows the answer to your question, I think you should try the aircrack forums, there are usually lot of explanations there for different devices.

comment Is a NVIDIA GeForce with Optimus Technology supported by Ubuntu?
This answer is simply not true, I bought intel, nvidia, optimus combination a week ago on 12.04, everything works great. Just add the stable ppa: launchpad.net/~bumblebee/+archive/stable and it works great. Now they even have an gui app that allows you to select the applications that will run with nvidia and which with intel gpu.

comment When will Gimp 2.8 come to the software repository?
He explicitly said that he doesn't want PPAs, and "CAUTION! This PPA could break your installed OS..." explains why. He's asking if there will be an update in ubuntu repositories, not 3rd party PPAs.

comment How can I upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 from Clean Install of 9.10?
It is by far less time consuming downloading 12.04 image and doing a new install. There is also a great chance that your system will be faster after clean install.

comment Ubuntu 12.04 Slow and low memory
512Mb is really low for modern fancy operating systems. You should try a lighter one like Xubuntu or even better Lubuntu, your interface might not look good as in Ubuntu, but it should consume much less memory. You don't loose much, both systems are completely compatible with Ubuntu, have same software sources, if something is "for Ubuntu" it will work on X/Lubuntu as well. Give it a try.

Right click on youtube video, settings, disable hardware acceleration works. That is an unfortunate solution, but it's a working one till adobe decides to fix it.

comment Open tabs at startup in Konqueror
I know about making profiles. It's not a bad solution for what I'm using it (opening lot of pdf-s in tabs), but reopening the tabs from last time would be nicer.

comment My system is very slow running Ubuntu
I believe that your system runs fast in Windows XP, but I'm highly skeptical about Windows 7. 1Gb of RAM is not enough for modern OSes with fancy GUI. You should try a lighter shade of Ubuntu like xubuntu based on lighter desktop environment. I'm writing this post from xubuntu on a laptop with 1Gb of RAM and it works fast. If it's not too big of a problem buying an extra 1Gb of RAM would significantly improve speed of your computer.
