comment Can I distinguish specific instances of Gnome Terminal in the switcher?
Yeah, I'm trying a similar thing. I have an extra-gnome-terminal in ~/Code/bin (which is on my $PATH). If I just launch extra-gnome-terminal from a console, the switcher groups it with gnome-terminal.

I see your point, but it's still a break from the usual habit. It's not Unity BTW, I'm using Gnome 3.

(I should mention that my current leading idea is to write a separate C program that uses exec or system to do this, which hopefully the Gnome switcher will think is a different program.)

I don't think that would help my workflow much over what it is currently (alt+tab and alt+``` vs a third arbitrary shortcut) :/

(And it's also possible to set via the .desktop file using one of gnome-terminal's options.)

Yes, irssi has an add-on script that does that.

You can indent all that terminal output with four spaces (or select it and hit the {} icon) to make it all nice and preformatted.

"Set IP addresses for each machine" is pretty darn vague.

Doesn't seem to work under 14.04.

comment How can I use my Active Directory credentials to log in to my Linux machine?
This puzzles me, because clearly I don't need AD admin intervention to authenticate to access samba shares. So it's possible for my Linux box to have the AD verify my credentials somehow. Why not at login time?

comment Which PDF Viewer would you recommend?
Beware! Chrome will let you fill out forms but won't actually save the data (unlike eg. Evince or qPDF).

I'm getting this bug too on 14.04. Does anyone know if a bug was ever reported for it?
