A web developer who's server side technology of choice is the LAMP stack. I've come quite a way in computer stuff in the past four years, and have learned the likes of HTML, Javascript, PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, and a bit of bash scripting.

Linux is my primary operating system, and I have a really big computer that I assembled myself.

Some OSS projects I'm working on:

I'm available for hire. You can see my portfolio at http://nucleussystems.com/#work

comment Is it possible to allow the User Account to access the 'Volumes' without asking the Administrator's password?
Have you tried un-mounting the device from your admin account, then re-mounting it under their account?

What "rest" do you mean? Are you saying you want to put your home partition on the hard drive?

comment Appmenu with QML App
I'll have to give that a whirl, but it wouldn't be an ultimate solution if the user has to manually install Qt :(

Yup, I've tried it since 14.04 has been released, but it still doesn't do anything.

comment How to switch from Core Layout to Full Screen Layout? PageStack Header annoying
Not working for me, I get a rather buggy blank title area that covers up part of my content when I set the anchors.fill to parent.

@andrewsomething I tried, but it said it had missing dependencies.

comment Are Qt Quick Controls available on Ubuntu 13.10?
@air-dex I'm running Trusty right now, but I don't seem to have access to QtQuick.Controls. What might be the issue? I added ubuntu-sdk-team/ppa and canonical-qt5-edgers/qt5-proper PPAs, but no joy :(

comment Set Application Icon
Okay, I suppose that's sufficient. I was just thinking about native applications like Inkscape. When you open Inkscape from the terminal, the icon appears in the launcher properly. If I were to launch my app without using the .desktop launcher, the icon does not appear.

comment Get Qt WebKit HTML Content in QML
That's the solution I finally came to, I found code here. I looked into Online Accounts (in fact I asked about it), but have not gotten a response. It's a little more complicated than just an OAuth request, through I would love to do it that way.

comment Get Qt WebKit HTML Content in QML
@dobey I need to display it. The user is interacting with the page, and then I need to extract content from it.

comment Installation of capybara-webkit ruby gem
Splendid! Deleting Gemfile.lock resolved it for me. Re-creating the gemset did nothing, nor did reinstalling the Qt packages.

comment Change Icon of Wine Application in Unity Launcher
I should clarify that it should be only the name of the executable, not the full path, no quoting, or anything extra of that sort.

I tried Sushi, but wasn't very fast, and didn't allow me to select text at all.

Wow, that one even beat SciTe. Super-simple.

That's perfect! If it started any faster, it would open before I clicked! :) Used to use SciTe as my main editor, forgot all about it.

You're right, vim and nano both start basically instantly, but I would need to start a terminal emulator, and I don't always have one up. I'd like a GUI I can start from Nautilus.

comment Will developers be able to use ruby or python for apps on ubuntu mobile?
Pretty sure any language with Qt/QML bindings would be supported, it simply being GNU/Linux and all.
