A web developer who's server side technology of choice is the LAMP stack. I've come quite a way in computer stuff in the past four years, and have learned the likes of HTML, Javascript, PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, and a bit of bash scripting.

Linux is my primary operating system, and I have a really big computer that I assembled myself.

Some OSS projects I'm working on:

I'm available for hire. You can see my portfolio at http://nucleussystems.com/#work

@AbrahamVanHelpsing So each hardware component has a user/group, and a user must be in that group in order to use it?

To apply the patch to your project, download it and run patch bin/projectname 976817-schemas.patch where projectname is the name of your project, and 976817-schemas.patch is the name of the patch file you downloaded.

Ahh, that's an excellent point, @AbrahamVanHelpsing. I'm no expert, but I imagine that running each program under its own user would solve the problem of file access. Still doesn't cover the issue of hardware access though. Pure Linux on ARM is great, but there will always be closed-source software, and as a result, the need for the user to prevent a program from running amok will remain. The mobile space is much more crowded with malicious/invading software, because it is an easy platform to target, with plenty of ignorant users to install it.

I figured it out, I recovered the files with the photorec utility in the disktest package. It got all of the files, but they lost their directory structure and filenames.

It was moving the partition at the time of the interruption. The computer was shut down by accident.
