More Print to file settings? @JohnSGruber The page size matters for printing to a file if you want to create a PDF before transfering the file to a printer (e.g. via another computer). I will consider opening a separate question. |

How to change default paper size in 'Print to file'? @Hckr The only settings that worked for me is adding LANG and LC_PAPER to /etc/environment. Thanks! As a follow up please consider reading this question, too. |

How to change default paper size in 'Print to file'? @radek Be careful! Appending LC_PAPER="en_GB.UTF-8 to /etc/default/locale caused that my Ubuntu 12.04. would no longer boot! Please be precise about the settings you suggest, if I have mistaken your comment. |

How do I configure the “Print_to_PDF”-printer and where does it print to? But how can I change the destination folder of the default Print to file option? |

How to analyze why “Try Ubuntu” does not launch? I verified the MD5 hash of the ISO. It matches with the given value on the UbuntuHashes website. |

Settings for multiple monitors are not stored But I do not want to set the settings permanently. I just want the configuration to be remembered whenever I return to the external monitor. |

How do I enable full-color support in Terminal? Dave, I am not 100% sure if it is correct but here is a oneliner version of your command: [[ -n "$DISPLAY" && "$TERM" = "xterm" ]] && export TERM=xterm-256color. Please verify and feel free to add it to the post. |
