I'm an Ubuntu user in Indiana. I had Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, but I ran

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get install kdm
sduo apt-get remove gdm
sudo dpkg-reconfigure kdm

to convert my Ubuntu system to a Kubuntu system. Notice I didn't remove ubuntu-desktop, so I can switch between GNOME and KDE whenever I want.
