Have you tried reinstalling Ubuntu? While reinstalling you should also download the updates during installation which may fix the graphics problem. Can you also try using a different monitor if you have one? Thanks

Hold on, were you manually partitioning D: Drive for a wubi installation? It sounds like yoir doing a huge amount of work for a Wubi installation which is pretty simple.

No it shouldn't cause any problems at all. Thats probably the best idea is to run it through terminal if you can't fix the icon.

Yeah everythings plugged in and when I go to additional drivers it gives me the list of those Nouvier drivers or whatever, the open source ones, but I can't install it since last time I did it disabled unity and I had to reinstall. But yes, I'm on a laptop and it does work, since I use it on windows. Web-E I ran that but is there anything I need after it to make it work? I'm new to Linux
