comment HOW TO INSTALL ofbiz ON UBUNTU12.04?
You might want to talk about the process of installation you have tried so far, and what error messages you have gotten so far. While someone may not have specific knowledge of ofbiz, many or these error messages are generic. Help us help you. Don't forget to mention the version of ofbiz you are using, and whether this is through a repo (official or PPA) or from source!

comment How to install newest dovecot stable when ubuntu repository is old?
If it does, it may be a major version change that may break things. In which case not automatically updating is best since you will want to test to see if anything is broken before deploying.

Some mice would also let you configure them in windows , and run those macros in linux - my logitech G300 does that

comment How to install Perrix gaming mouse on Ubuntu?
Its a bit tricky, involving needing to compile a kernel module, but roccat has an open source mouse driver for many of its mice - I haven't gotten around to getting mine working yet, but the roccat xtd I own is awesome. Quite a few of razer's mice are supported under linux as well with razercfg, which is a usermode program.

ok, that rules out the mouse itself being faulty, curious.

Welcome to AU. I notice that you have posted a link to the local location of your screenshot, and its entirely useless to us. You might want to upload your image to imgur.com instead, and add the link so someone with higher rep can update your question.

Two things I can think of, both silly. First is it could be capslock. The other is for some reason you're using the wrong keyboard layout

it should be under /home/username/.bashrc If you're using a livecd, look at your hard drive, not the livecd's filesystem

nope, they have a print roller. And if they get dirty, you generally just swap the whole unit I think

It might help to mention what sort of system it is - did it come with windows 8 preinstalled, or did you install it yourself?

"buy a key" no. Secureboot may be an issue here, but that can be turned off in the bios or otherwise circumvented at the user level bu design.

stick with a 32 bit install, and test ut on as many systems as you can before you rely on it

not quite what you're looking for, but running guake or yakuake might work quite well for similar purposes - they are drop down, 'quake' style terminals

comment Can Ubuntu repair windows 7 that won't boot?
You could, alternatively download a copy of windows 7 from the links here on superuser and try to fix it from the tools windows has. This might mess up your ubuntu install but back up first

comment Can Mal/JavaJar-B infect an Ubuntu/Linux OS?
I do believe that java exploits are cross platform by nature - though they are often used to get OS specific payloads into a system. As for "isolating stuff off the internet" - basically, the simplest way to keep something you are paranoid about getting stolen is to put it on a system thats not connected to the internet - the military, for example runs systems on an internal network. Network monitoring involves something like an IDS that keeps track of network traffic, and alerts you to anything odd.
