comment Syncing dm-crypted drives?
This looks like that I was after. I'm assuming I need to do the following instead? bdsync --patch /dev/sdb /dev/sdc where sdb is the updated version and sdc is the one which is out of sync? Thanks!

comment Sharing phone's internet connection on laptop without the help of USB cable
2 reasons. 1. Because I need to use my 3g connection, you can't get wifi everywhere. 2. I don't want to carry around a usb cable, I want to do this via bluetooth.

@AzkerM, 2 reasons for that. 1. I don't have wifi on my laptop. 2. I want to use my phones 3g via bluetooth to give my laptop an internet connection where no wifi is available.

That's usb tethering, which I currently use, I want to get rid of the usb cable and do the whole thing using bluetooth.

I can see an option to switch on usb tethering, but I can't see bluetooth tethering. I can only switch on bluetooth on the phone.

I'm on a desktop, but have no gui, just the command line. No, I am not accessing a remote machine with ssh.

comment Customizing the boot message?
I see, so I have to change the whole theme? I can't simply change the text in the existing theme by opening up a text file in some configuration section or something like that?

It's that link about plymouth? The image I am showing is a text based loader.

comment Zenity from command line Linux installation
It installed about 70+ MB or packages. I tried zenity again and got the same error message again. I got similar messages with and without the export.

I get (zenity:908): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0. Don't I need to install xorg or something like that?

Looks like I have cryptsetup 1.4.1 installed. Is that version too old?

Doesn't seem to work for me. sudo cryptsetup tcryptOpen testcontainer.tc testcontainer give me cryptsetup: Unknown action.

comment What is the “Free software only” option when installing Ubuntu?
I will be trying out trisquel based on 14.04 when it comes out. If it works with my hardware, I'll keep it. If not, I'll just install Ubuntu 14.04.

comment Boot from USB with 3g/4g
So I can boot from these devices into Linux Live_USB style, and use the 3g or 4g connection from the device at the same time?

comment Is it possible to move the dash home button?
First point of Ubuntu Philosophy = Should have the freedom to download, run, copy, distribute, study, share, *change* and improve their software for any purpose, without paying licensing fees. Seems like Unity is part of Ubuntu, so you would think that you would be able to change basic features of Unity, like the placement of the launcher, top, bottom, left, or right. I'm thinking the Ubuntu Philosophy needs to be updated?
