Wireless is disabled by hardware switch ,lenovo b460 So is there a hardware switch and did you turn it on? According to a Google search it might be Fn+F5 or a tiny switch at the front or side of the laptop. |

Where do I place a logout script for Lightdm? You only have to restart lightdm. I'll edit my answer. |

ia32-libs will not install due to dependency problems I don't use Skype, but can you try installing the 32 bit package of Skype? I also uninstalled ia32-libs, so I could not install the 64 bit version of Google Earth, but the 32 bit package worked. |

Suspending a process and resume after a system shutdown/reboot No, it doesn't work after a reboot, the PIDs are not stored on the machine, they are re-used after a reboot. I don't think you can suspend/resume a single process. You could suspend/resume (hibernate) the whole machine, or you could use a Virtual Machine like VirtualBox, but that's certainly a lot more expensive. |

How do I get a USB thumb drive to boot with grub2? The msdos1 in grub's notation means it's the first partition of an old MSDOS-like partition table (as opposed to a GPT). I can't answer your real question, though. |
