This assumption "As we know "Everything in Linux" is a file," is wrong so your whole question falls apart. As we know "Everything in Linux is a file DESCRIPTOR". Makes a world of a difference.

comment How to add flags and/or arguments to a command in the 'sudoers' file
@alex ah good to know. What works is a "whitelist" -but- the fact you let that person use sudo is the problem: for instance a cp can be an used as an equivalent to rm making your rm fix in the sudoers file useless. If this would have been related to for instance updating /var/www/ for apache there are better methods (that is one example people need access outside their home).

Please explain the problem you have and not the solution you believe you need to apply. What you want here is not possible and the reason for it is because this method would be full of holes (as @muru already posted).

comment Can I get an Oxford English spellchecking dictionary?
I know I know. But a spellchecker would be based on the OED (I doubt someone is willing to create a complete new spell checker just for Oxford English :) )

comment Can I get an Oxford English spellchecking dictionary?
Doubt it. The OED is not free. COED with wine has a platinum rating appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=3821 but that is not native... Best you'll get is probably packages.ubuntu.com/vivid/text/aspell-en (aspell-en).

Yes that is correct. Pity. a bad symlink would be the easiest reason ;-)

bad symlink... Check initrd in / It should symlink to /boot/initrd.img* sames goes for vmlinuz.old should symlink to /boot/vmlinuz* If so sudo update-initramfs -c -k $(uname -r) will fix it.

comment Does Ubuntu 14.10 support Ubuntu builder?
Do be aware that support for 14.10 ends in July of this year. It might be more fruitful to remaster a 15.04 or 14.04 version.

This will work: unix.stackexchange.com/questions/1524/… But it is a one time solution.

comment I screwed up my Ubuntu (Novice user)
"So last night I tried Ubuntu for the first time" and you did not pick 15.04 or 14.04 for a specific reason? ;-) I agree with @Pilot6 a re-install will be the quickest. Just make sure you have a backup of your personal files.
