Xubuntu won't boot after applying Security Fixes I tried the upgrade install for a similar issue but stopped when the upgrade asked me for a new user name and password (which I found odd) and now the liveCD doesn't provide the option to upgrade any more. (Sorry if I seem to hijack this question, but my problem seems similar and the answer conflicting with my experience.) |

Gnome-shell notifications in the tray gets overcrowded It's funny because it didn't do that earlier as far as I can remember. There is also an extension that specifically makes notifications permanent, which suggests notifications should not stay otherwise (/confusion/?) |

GNOME Shell's search function doesn't work properly Could you describe how it looks like or provide a screen-shot? It is not clear (to me) from your description whether there is at all any icon that shows up on the overview or not. Also what extensions did you install, were these all extensions supported by Gnome? |
