comment Xubuntu 14.04 Appearance in All Settings Crashes and can not change themes
Try Applications menu, Settings (on the right toward the bottom, not the All Settings at the top), Appearance. Does that fail as well?

comment Steam won't launch properly without terminal command
To possibly narrow it down, here are a few questions. Does LD_PRELOAD='/usr/$LIB/libstdc++.so.6' steam work? Does DISPLAY=:0 steam work?

comment How copy totally folders between disk
I'm pretty sure that sync is not going to fix this for two reasons: syncing automatically happens every few seconds, and there's no way that 23 files are going to be completely missing due to a sync not happening yet, since closing a file after writing it syncs.

comment `grep -r` command leads to kernel panic
None of your questions can be answered with the information you've given. For example, you say "The wlan always dies too." This could be for any number of reasons, such as that the access point is too far away. You think grep in vim caused a kernel panic, but unless you've reliably reproduced it, the kernel panic could be unrelated to what user software was running at the time. And so on.

comment Unable to locate package php7.0
Your command doesn't match the output, since it has php-7.0 and the output has php7.0. Aside from that, there is no package with a name like that in the standard repositories. Are you trying to use a PPA? If so, perhaps askubuntu.com/a/705893/147763 can help.

comment Connected to wireless, but no internet access
Your computer knows when its DHCP lease expires, and it will automatically ask the DHCP server for a new IP address whenever that happens.

Try head access-2.log.gz. Does it show the start of the log file?

@kapziel, you might want to change your MySQL root password.

comment Ubuntu under VirtualBox in Windows 7 - how to set bigger screen resolution?
@user277068, that's probably a problem with sudo in general rather than this particular command. Try sudo echo hi and see if you have the same problem.
