@hlin117 Just clear the content of the ~/.xmodmap file (by running only > ~/.xmodmap in your terminal), then restart your session.

@Lacho In this case I'm almost sure, if yu are using bash, that you made a mismatch. Check the quotes for example to be exactly as I wrote them...
