How to reorder tray icons? Note that in 11.04 there is no more tray, so you must be talking about reordering indicators. This is achieved to a limited extent through process indicated in Jorge Castro's link. This is a duplicate, I think. |

How to reorder tray icons? This is incorrect. There is a limited amount of ordering possible: askubuntu.com/questions/26114/… (I've done it) |

Which laptop tools does Ubuntu come with? added 36 characters in body |

Which laptop tools does Ubuntu come with? The first question is "the" question. The other are hints towards what the readers should be thinking about. I'll edit my post to make this more clear. The reason that splitting up would be a bad idea is because often these tools overlap and intersect, and furthermore, I don't have a complete list of "laptop specific" tools at my disposal to ask separate questions. |

Gedit's LaTeX plugin opens a dialog called “Choose Master Document” each time a .tex file is opened I don't think that's it: it happens on complete, already compiled documents, and new ones alike. |

Will my Intel video graphics work with compiz? An addition to Bilal's answer: Even if it does work, it will be very choppy. I speak from personal experience. |

Ubuntu 11.04 randomly logs out in middle of use Easy way to find out is to use old Gnome for a while, and see what happens. |

vlc 1.1.9 not working properly Try reinstalling, it works fine for me. Do other video players work? Also, it'd be nice if you could put your post outside of a quote box. |

Close windows with middle click in preview pane (SUPER-W) For those of you who do this: Unity trips out at first, but if you log out then in, it's fixed. |

How to properly play .mkv files? Does something like "mplayer -vo xv -fs -zoom filename.mkv" from the terminal help? -vo xv selects a "default video driver" and the rest fullscreens your video. You might also want to man mplayer for subtitle and audio/video track switches :P |
