+1 for gource! Maybe not very useful but definitely cool!

comment How to connect a Nexus 10 to transfer files?
Check out askubuntu.com/q/87667/14349 . I had the same problem with the Galaxy Nexus. I have had quite a bit of problems with programs using libmtp. The most reliable solution turned out to be gphotofs for me.

comment Why is ecryptfs so slow when running du -s?
Switched over to dm-crypt and must say that the performance difference is quite noticeable. Normal day to day work in directories containing hundreds of files goes markedly faster with dm-crypt.

comment Getting MTP enabled devices to work with Ubuntu?
Just upgraded to 12.04 and it seems that libmtp 1.1.3 is not working correctly like you said. Will have to investigate this a bit more. gphotofs is working perfectly though so thanks for the suggestion!

comment How to enable arrow keys in Kubuntu application launcher 12.04?
It seems that what I mean is a Plasma launcher, Kickoff to be specific. It is the default when installing Kubuntu Desktop in 11.10 and 12.04.

comment Does Ubuntu support Core Parking?
I think some Android devices can disable one or more cores. Not sure if this is managed directly by the hardware or the kernel though.

comment Why is ecryptfs so slow when running du -s?
Thanks, will probably look into dm-crypt when I do my next reinstall. Doing backups of my encrypted home (which contains the android source code tree => 20GB of small files) tends to take ages...

comment Is my encrypted home folder open to other users when I am logged in?
Great! Thanks for the explanation of the thoughts behind the system. I have been wondering why the default permissions are 755.

comment Getting MTP enabled devices to work with Ubuntu?
Yes, already tried most ways of using the mtpfs-tools. As Shannon found out, it was apparantly a bug in libmtp.

comment User friendly way to access an MTP device (Android 3.0 tablet)
@UriHerrera: Gingerbread does not use MTP, it uses USB mass storage.

comment Accessing files in a directory without x-permission?
So, if I have the inode number of a file/directory inside a directory without search-rights, I would be able to access it as long as its permissions allow it? (Getting the inode number without being able to do stat is pretty hard though I suppose.)

comment Is there a process indicator for Unity?
Doesn't seem to work in 11.04 beta unfortunately. It refuses to start because it cant find libappindicator.so.0. Synaptic refuses to get libappindicator0, so I guess it's due to missing dependencies.

Thanks, it does indeed seem to be a dupe of that question. Got some more suggestions there that I will check out.
