I've been writing software of one form or another for over ten years now, ever since I wrote a little three-room text adventure in REXX on OS/2. Most of my programming knowledge I gained on the job in the aerospace industry, writing C/C++ and assembly programs for RADAR systems. More recently I've been writing tools for other developers in Ruby. A longtime language hobbyist, I hopped on the Ruby wagon before it was cool, and along the way I've messed around with Perl, Python, Lisp, Haskell, TCL, Java, C#, Javascript, VBA, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. When I'm not hacking I'm usually spending time with my wife and three children.
