comment how to install vmware?
Thank you for providing this answer, as it seems to be a more straight-forward way of installing VMWare, vs other examples and suggestions. Users should check for newer versions available. At this time, 7.0 is stable and recommended.

Look into Virtual Hosts or Virtual Domains. I recommend you use nginx, but technically apache2 will do it as well.

The easiest way I can think of doing this is setting your filesystem read-only, unless you want to make changes. You can have specific directories mount into RAM if changes are needed (such as a /tmp/ directory).

Interesting. You could look into Docker, or Debian Live. Tails is a distribution that allows some of what you're trying to do, natively.

Is your goal to be able to 'roll-back' to a specific state of the machine? If so, there are tools to do this. Can you describe a little bit more in detail your true goal?

Even if it's not branded, we will need to know which Operating System the phone is running. Android, iOS?

comment Cannot save files in Sublime Text 2
Can you open the "Console" within Sublime Text and give us any relevant output? FYI Sublime Text 3 is available with many improvements, including being installable from a .deb file, vs manual setup/installation.

I know that nginx will allow you to use the same port trivially, but you'll have to have different domain names (ie: user1.ddns.net, user2.ddns.net)

comment Sharing files between ubuntu 15.04 and android smartphone via wifi
You can interact with your Android device via adb. Typically, it's done over a USB cable, but you can enable it to work over the network. You shouldn't leave your phone in a mode that makes adb available long-term, however, as that could be a security risk. See Android.
