This is an odd answer. It either uses the Skype app or uses the Skype API. It doesn't directly do both...

@LiveWireBT, You won't get an explanation because this answer is complete nonsense. I have USB3 and it still won't mount MTP devices.

This isn't the problem. I also get "device: 2 was an MTP device" but I'm still not able to mount my phone.

comment How To Find a Computer Name in a LAN from the IP Address?
This shows all active IPs, but it only shows domains for machines which explicitly have custom domain configured in my local Bind server. It doesn't show any local hostnames, which I think is what the OP is trying to accomplish.

comment How do I edit my resolv.conf file to fix wrong DNS problem?
This doesn't really answer the question. You're assuming NM+dnsmasq either works perfectly or doesn't work at all and needs to be removed. If everything mostly works but the OP just wants to include some extra DNS servers (e.g. google dns), then neither option is preferred, because disabling dnsmasq prevents it from detecting the local default nameserver.

Why are you using tail? If IPv6 is enabled, which it is on almost all modern distros, this strips off the DNS info the OP is explicitly looking for...

Ah you're right. But it didn't update the symlinks in /usr/bin, which I'll just have to do manually.

What provides the 9.3 version of pg_dump? Dpkg says it's still being provided by postgresql-client-common, which is stuck at 9.1.

Note, piping into sudo is not recommended. On my system, that causes the sudo prompt to be hidden, making the entire command appear to hang indefinitely.
