What should I do when Ubuntu freezes? Unfortunately, System Monitor is quite CPU intensive. It typically consumes up to 20% of my CPU, so if you're computer's bogged down, launching SM is only going to grind it into the dirt faster. |

How do I shrink the root logical volume (LV) on LVM? These instructions do not work. lvs shows the correct new size, but GParted still shows the LVM with the original size. All your doing is explaining how to shrink the filesystem, not the partition. The partition is still taking up the original amount of disk space. |
