comment 15.04 upgrade problems
The new KDE uses KDE Frameworks 5, the previous one used 4. The slash screen might be handles by SDDM now, previously LightDM was used.

comment gpg ask for passphrase every time although gpg-agent is configured
I just did ps -e | grep gnome and found 2118 ? 00:00:01 gnome-keyring-d. So you are right. Now that I think about it, the dialog looks like Gnome. How can I deactivate this then and replace by a KDE component? Does NetworkManager depend on this to store the WLAN passwords?

I use KDE and Awesome WM. I would prefer not to use the Gnome Keyring. I updated the question.

comment Will “guided with encrypted LVM” enable TRIM on a SSD?
I just finished reading your answer in the link. Makes sense. Since OCZ is not Intel or Samsung, the cron job will probably not do anything, then. Still I think I need to do a bit more to get it through LVM and LUKS by setting the appropriate options in the crypttab, right?

I saw that there is no discard in my /etc/fstab although it is installed on an SSD. mount does not show any discard either. Does that mean the OCZ Nocti does not support TRIM in Ubuntu?
