If you suspend a process with CTRL-z, it'll block most signals as long as it's suspended (i.e. until you do a fg or bg for the process)

That's CTRL ] , so yes it should. It doesn't. CTRL AltGr 9 Enter does work in Fedora and RHEL though

That seems to do the trick, although sudo /sbin/update-initramfs -u needs to be run as well, after altering blacklist.conf

Preferrably yes. But as I only have link local IPv6, it\s quite a waste asking for e.g. the AAAA record of google.com every time, and then ask for the A record afterwards.
