~$ sudo ifconfig eth0 down ~$ sudo modprobe -r b44 ~$ sudo modprobe -r ssb modprobe: FATAL: Module ssb is in use. ~$ sudo modprobe -r b43 ~$ sudo modprobe b43 ~$ sudo modprobe ssb. Still nothing. I'm hopping you haven't run out of options.

I added the output of the code you provided me at the bottom of the question body. I didn't rebooted, this is a LiveISO environment because I'm trying to figure if the wireless will work before installing it into the all drive. Is the reboot real the only way to check for sure if the wireless will work?

Thank you for your enlightenment. Just one more question, if you please, before considering this answer as helpful and correct. When you refer to add my Netbeans' bin folder to my system path, by editing .bashrc file, what file is this? Is this a file from my system or a file existing in one of Netbeans installation folders?

Thank you for prompt answer. I'm aware of the fact that one should always install software from the software center, the problem is that the version of Netbeans available at the Software Center is quite outdated, it's still Netbeans 7.0 which comes without a series of features
