I run Kubuntu on my home computer, which I built myself. My work computer runs Windows 7. I also use Lubuntu full-time on my netbook. I am a self taught geek. I run a large format printer and do graphic design for a living. My favorite hobbies are woodturning and computers.

comment Kubuntu 13.10 Wifi doesn't work - DHCP timeout
I tried to compile and install it, but it didn't work. The make commands worked fine, but the instructions said you may have to modprobe some of the drivers back into the kernel. I don't think I successfully accomplished that. I might try some more, but right now I switched kernel versions, and my wifi is working properly.

That may have worked for a Live CD, but on my install, it didn't work.

Tried that already... (I'll add that to the main question.)

I have the machine connected to the internet via my laptop's Wifi connection. Everything is updated.

Thanks! I didn't know that. Do you know of anything for LXDE?

But then why would I use them? :) I use them for the environment.

I am looking for a solution for Lubuntu and/or Kubuntu.

Doesn't it remember the setting for the next boot, though?
