you dont even need the file at all it would be auto regenerated if you delete it

id would try removing all those lines and rebooting for some reason the same device is listed 3 times as eth1 wlan0 eth2

by default useradd reads a file /etc/default/useradd which by default has this set SHELL=/bin/sh. adduser on the other hand config defaults to bash DSHELL=/bin/bash

it seems the system sees the ethernet interface, but you cant connect to the internet? Have you tried dhclient eth0

does that mean its working now? nslookup from mbnoimi-pc is replying with Address: 192.168.0.74 which is correct? your orginal question shows nslookup trying to query localhost for dns instead of 192.168.0.74
