Wow this is a good question. You did a lot of research. All the things I wanted to write, you've already done. Do I understand you correctly that the virus is also active on Ubuntu? What did Google tell you? A name of the virus would help. PS: maybe the virus comes from one of the 50 anti-viri programs you have used.

@Joe look into csvkit. It has a tool called csvstat which gives you some statistics. It also has a few nice tools to select columns etc. All the things you are saying you can do with csvkit if you read the manual.

Can you give an example of the configuration that would allow my inverse differential backup? The docs of backuppc are huge and complicated.

@muru I disagree with you. This question is perfectly valid for ubuntu as well, or am I missing why this would be red hat specific? Uwe, can you post the link to this question on Unix and Linux?

@Whaaaaaat If you are saying that paypal is thus still doing the validation, then this answer is incorrect unless we have confirmation that the paypal validation accepts this.

I think this is either a bot trying to get reputation or a reputation scam. Not sure, but feel free to check: ubuntu.aspcode.net/view/635400140124705175518366/… and w3facility.org/question/…

I have added a new answer which, I think, is easier than all the other answers (my first answer included). You might want to consider accepting that so that for future reference the information is easily found.

@Joe with a report do you mean the averages, the maximum values, and that sort of stuff? If so, I can help.

@Joe can you be a more specific about what you mean when you speak about a 'report writer'? I am not sure I understand what you mean.

I am quite sure this is exploiting a bug. Not sure they are going to like this. Not sure also whether their form should not use server side validation before sending it on to paypal.

I learned about the existence of the Ubuntu shop through your post. Nice. Have one as well.
