Unable to “rm” a file named “() - .” due to “No such file or directory” As an update to my issue, I have also found that some ftp clients do remove files named like () - . even though filezilla couldn't delete it, Notepad++ nppftp plugin was able to. I found that interesting. Thanks again for all the help. |

Unable to “rm” a file named “() - .” due to “No such file or directory” I made \(\) and "rm"ed it then tried rm -i \(\)* with no luck then changed it to rm -i \ \(\)* suspecting the beginning space and it "rm"ed it. Thanks! |

gdm is not working entirely smooth? I had issues with logon passwords on 12.04 server that I solved by upgrading the ram. It was below the recommended amount. If your system load is high and using swap memory and you are on the edge of recommended ram for your version of Ubuntu, perhaps it is a similar issue. Sorry if not. |
