Thanks for the comment. I haven't run Ubuntu for a year or so now (I now run Arch), but can say that I now use a tool guvcview for webcam use.

comment How do I remove a printer?
Worked in 12.10. The '-' button on the system settings page wasn't working but this fixed it.

There is a bottom bar in Gnome 3 that has your applets. The applet will be there.

I would assume you would instead or running the line self.ind.set_label(repo_name) run `self.ind.set_icon('path-to-icon.jpg')'

comment AMD Driver update (one from amd.com)
few modifications, I would suggest moving the new driver (.run file) into its own directory to avoid any old driver .debs in your downloads folder. Secondly I would also suggest purging the drivers before installing the package (unless this is not needed because of the overwrite? please provide more information on this). If the purge really is part of a separate function (specifically for un-installing the drivers, maybe separate it instead of having it in one code block). Other than that thanks, just followed this and it worked!

I am truly lost for ideas. Next best is to have that command constantly running in the background I guess.

comment SSH terminal automatic resizing
Maybe take a look here and see if any of the answers this guy suggested worked. Specifically I think he is replacing bash with tsch (sorry my knowledge on the topic isn't that great). I know its a pain but why not run ! resize from the terminal? do you resize a lot?
