How to upgrade LibreOffice to 3.4.2 That is probable. But I got confused with statement in libreoffice.org/download "As a general rule, you are recommended to install LibreOffice via the installation methods recommended by your particular Linux distribution (such as the Ubuntu Software Center, in the case of Ubuntu Linux). This is because it is usually the simplest way to obtain an installation that is optimally integrated into your system. Indeed, LibreOffice may well be already installed by default when you originally install your Linux operating system." |

How to Roll back newly applied LTS Maintenance Upgrade to the Previous Version As per my understanding point releases are for updating patches in more systematic fashion on production like servers. So I do point release upgrades on my servers so that I can evaluate any impact. Now if I am facing a problem when I do an update, I would need to roll back. Since I am upgrading multiple packages in a point release upgrade, I do not know how I can identify a specific package easily. So I was looking for an option to roll back all 'recently' upgraded packages to previous version. (Compare with IBM AIX Apply and revert of an SP, if you are aware). |

Wrong permissions on “make install” default umask of the user you are compiling can be found by issuing 'umask' from terminal. |

Problem opening a large .doc file Do you know a way to link/upload a large sized file to this question ? Then I can do it. I could not figure out a way and meta.askubuntu.com/questions/1491/… indicates that I may not be able to. |

Investigating a system “freeze” Is this still a problem ? Try a memtest from the boot menu to rule out any RAM failure. |

Cannot start session without errors (phpmyadmin)? advising 'chmod 777' without explaining what it will do to the security is an overkill, so not recommended. |
