Ath5k is a completely FOSS reverse engineered wireless driver for Atheros based wireless chipset versions AR5xxx in the Linux Kernel. It has evolved out of MadWiFi, OpenHAL, and the open-sourced HAL code of Atheros and Sam Leffler.
