LXSession is LXDE's session manager. It launches the applications that make up the LXDE desktop interface, such as lxpanel for the panel and pcmanfm for the desktop (and folder windows). It can be reconfigured to launch different programs, for a customized desktop.

Can Lubuntu's "lxsession-edit" (Desktop Session Settings) add new programs at startup or just remove them?
It looks like the second is true, but I want to be sure. I would find it odd.
