yesterday I've installed ubuntu 11.10 on my pc.
Everything seems to be all right except i cannot play my music, when i open mp3 files they're always stucked on 00:00. The same happens with dvds and other videos.

I've tried updating and upgrading, I also downloaded lots of plug ins first of all gnome-restricted-extras, but no results.

any advice?

You need to install mp3 plugins. Install Ubuntu Restricted Extras it includes variety of media plug-ins and fonts,etc. Install it from ubuntu software centre.
