I have a very annoying problem in ubuntu which lasts since many previous versions of ubuntu/kubuntu. When changing the user, most of the time the mouse pointer changes to a big yellow square or disappears completely. I remember tackling this problem a few months ago without success by changing the parameters to not to use hardware acceleration for the mouse pointer (i forgot how i did so) but this made my screen remain black when booting ubuntu.

So, are there any other solution to avoid this (very annoying) problem?
