HP p6235fr under Ubuntu 11.10: NIC on motherbard. After one night in suspend mode, WOL doesn't wake up my PC. After a few hours, it is OK.

Here is the result of lspci for the NIC :

02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 03)

Here is the result of ethtool command :

delannoy@delannoy-VN433AA-ABF-p6235fr:~$ sudo ethtool eth0

The problem is reproducible and at each time, the NIC is deactivated: the switch port is down in spite of being at 10 Mb/s. If suspend period is a few hours, WOL works correctly.

WOL is fine with Windows 7 in dual boot on this machine.
