I'm trying to write a .tex-file using TexMaker, but after switching virtual desktops I can't type any text. is there a way to fix this bug, or do I need another Latex-editor?

Never seen that, are you sure it is a texmaker problem and not a window manager problem? – enzotib Jan 6 '12 at 12:56
TexMaker seems to be the only application where I have this problem. I'm using Gummi right now, and everything's fine. – Ben Jan 6 '12 at 13:12
I also use TexMaker very often and never had this problem. – Michael K Jan 6 '12 at 13:29
This question should instead be filed as a bug report, thanks! Instructions here. – Jorge Castro Feb 3 '12 at 0:13
