I'm using Ubuntu 11.10. After I login in any tty1-6 it show the message "Module unknown" and log me out automatically.

But in the graphical session I am logged in correctly. How to solve the problem?

Looks like this has to do with PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules). You should look into /etc/pam.conf and /etc/pam.d/login and check whether all the modules (pam_*.so) are available on your system. –  daniel kullmann Jan 4 '12 at 6:24
