So, I have a WBR-1310 router from D-Link. I've used Ubuntu with this router for a long time, on and off ever since Ubuntu 7.04.
But since the last version, 11.04, the router connection crashes. All my computers and other machines connected to the router loose their connection at the same time.
When I use Windows, I never have this problem. But every time I install either 11.04 or 11.10, the router does this. This is why I know it's Ubuntu because it's been tested countless times in the last year.
Now I've been told on LaunchPad that it's not Ubuntu because it uses the same standards as the industry. I've also been told on forums that's it's impossible that Ubuntu does this.
But this ONLY happens when I use Ubuntu. Like I said, on Windows, it never ever happens and when none of my computers are using Ubuntu either.
I would really need to use Linux but also have a functioning router.
Does any one else have the same problem? How can I solve this? Could it be because of the computer (Acer Aspire 5253 with Atheros AR5B97).
