I have installed ubuntu 11.10 in dual boot with Vista. Worked fine for about a week. Suddendly can not boot in Ubuntu anymore I get the message: Try (hd 0,0): NTFS5 :error: "prefix" is not set.

Any ideas???

unfortunately no. I still have the "root.disk", just doesn't boot. Thank you though. – Konstantinos Dec 3 '11 at 19:11
