repositories menu in synaptic, software sources and ubuntu software center wont launch even though they are installed?

synapitic launches fine, but when i click the repositories item in the menu, it just says "click reload" every time, even after it has infact been reloaded. ubuntu software center wont launch either even though it is installed, and software-properties is installed also?

I assume there is a link between them that is missing making them not launch?

thanks for your help

what is the output if you run in a terminal software-center or gksudo synaptic? – fossfreedom Nov 25 '11 at 22:00
for software center its : the last line is ImportError: No module named LinuxMint icant fit the rest because of the word limit in the comments here. i assume the issue is with the fact i recently removed linux mint 12 repos that i wanted to try from 11.10, is there a way to fix this (hopefully by not putting the mint repos back)? – Jayo Nov 25 '11 at 22:05
sorry, the previous comment was very cramped, the last line for the output was "no module named linux mint" i was recently trying mint 12 repos that i have since removed, is there a way to fix this without putting the mint repos back? thanks – Jayo Nov 25 '11 at 22:17
