I would suggest CHM reader add-on for firefox. It is really really good and much better than all those third party programs, others as suggesting, for them lacking many of a web browser capabilities - firefox and alike have. What is better than a web-browser to view webpages?! The problem is that chm supports 32-bit ubuntu's, and firefox not after 3.6. If this applies to you then just go for it. I think the developer has abandoned supporting this marvelous plugin. And in order to make it run on your machine you have to go thru a taxing process of compiling it to your machine. I like the reader that comes with wine! (hh.exe?) Open hh.exe that comes with wine and browse for your CHM file from it. |
