I am using MSI U100 netbook with Intel atom processor. While I am playing HD videos in Ubuntu, frames freeze sometimes. At the same time, I am able to play the video smoothly in Windows 7. Can anyone advise how to play HD video smoothly and which is the best video player for HD?

I also have this netbook with Ubuntu installed. This is not Ubuntu's fault. Especially streaming video it struggles with. The intel atom processor is not powerful enough for this task. If you are having problems playing YouTube videos, I recommend downloading them and playing them in VLC or Movie Player. |
